Classes: Teachers

Broaden your classroom curriculum by using the Museum's comprehensive collection and featured exhibitions to inspire and engage your students. Workshops promote academic achievement and align with Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) standards and Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs). Workshops include written and hands-on curriculum-based activities, classroom modeling, tours, and cooperative-learning sessions and are guided by three cornerstones of teaching: arts integration, art-making, and assessment.

School Programs

The Saint Louis Art Museum is proud of our longstanding commitment to area schools and the children they serve. Arts in the Basic Curriculum (ABC), our groundbreaking interdisciplinary, performance-based program, brings arts education to area 4th- and 5th- graders. We also offer a number of programs for middle and high school students as well as art classes for children of all ages. And our docents and educators introduce thousands of students to the collection each year with tours through the galleries and featured exhibitions.
